Sparkle

My students love to play sparkle. It's a game where you call out a spelling word, then the students take turns saying letters that are in the word. If they misspell the word they must sit down. Once the word is completed the last person says sparkle and then the next person sits down. Then we start with a new word until only one person is standing. Its a fun way to review spelling words and have them practice before a test.

Compound Nouns

Compound nouns. I love to give my kids notecards with nouns on them. They will run around the room until they find a notecard that goes with their word. Then this word will join to make a new word. They crack me up when they finally find their partner.

She does have some cute ideas of styles for the winter months, but she also adds in some fun things to do or tell your kids about in school to participate in.

Education Rocks

I am starting this blog for a class I am taking in my master's program. I am not a huge fan of blogs for the simple fact that I don't have a tremendous amount of time to read what people have to say on a daily basis. I chase around a 2 year old after school and teach 12 year old (hormones) during the day. I absolutely love my job and love impacting children's lives on a daily basis. I strive to make the best example I can for these kids. at home and at school! I will keep a lot of my posts simple and mainly talk about things that I do in class which are useful as an educator.
